Frequently Asked Questions:

How long will my order take to arrive? :
Orders will be dispatched between the days stated on the top of the homepage, but please allow a little longer during busier periods.
The times apply from the day that payment clears.
We can't give delivery dates as Royal Mail's estimated arrival times do vary.
If you order after 3pm, your order will be treated as though ordered the following morning.
Please ensure you have provided the correct address and contact details as this will prevent us being able to fulfil your order within those times. We will contact you in this case, so please check your spam folders if you have not received an email from us.

What packaging do you use? :
We are big advocates of recycling, and while in most cases, new boxes will be used (and we hope you use them again), there will be times that boxes will have been used before.
Whatever suits the needs of your products to ensure they reach you safely.

There is nothing more frustrating than receiving your items snapped, so rest assured we take great care when packing.
We rarely use bubble wrap and the packing peanuts we use are bio degradable and made from natural corn starch ingredients.
So they are compostable and dissolve in water and perfectly safe to be used in play with children.
No polystyrene is used here, and we only use poly bags and shrink wrap where necessary to hold loose items in place

Who do you use to send parcels? :
In most cases, and certainly for parcels up to 2 kilos, we will most likely use Royal Mail, for larger parcels, DPD, DHL or Parcelforce
Can I order something I can't see on your site? :
Absolutely yes ! Please contact us if there is something you would like to order. Or search 'custom' in the search box to find listings where you can order direct without the need to get in touch.
If you have a bespoke piece that requires a fair bit of designing from us, we will be able to send you preview images of it, so you can visualise what you will be getting.

Of course, anything not on our site, we will do our best to give you a competitive quote. We may need a little longer than the displayed dispatched times.
Can I get a discount?:
We have a trade discount code on ALL orders over £100 (excluding post) This is available to all our customers.
The code is trade10 and will deduct 10% off your total.
We will introduce other codes and offers throughout the year, so please follow us on Social media for updates.

What if my item is damaged or items missing?:
We kindly request that all orders are checked within a maximum of 2-3 days of being received and any damaged or missing items reported to us within that timescale so we are able to sort out a replacement for you.
Any damages or missing items reported later than this unfortunately may not be automatically replaced free of charge as breakages and losses could have occurred during your possession.
We kindl
y ask for photos of the damaged items, and of the damaged packaging, so we are able to claim with the couriers.

Unfortunately this can happen despite how well packaged and labelled our boxes are. If items do arrive damaged, please email us within 2-3 days of delivery with clear photos of the damage and the damaged packaging if applicable. We will usually send a replacement without the need to return items, but this is discretionary, and we may request the items back before exchanging, depending on the value, level of damage and circumstances. We will send you a returns label and once the items are back with us, we will send out the replacement items.
What paint do I use and how can I make the items child safe? :
We get asked this a lot, and after having run a painted business for several years, I have tried and tested many items.
I recommend Acrylic paints. We do have a range of them here.
Our products are craft unfinished and unpainted items to be used in educational settings and therefore are not all tested to toy standards. Anything that is on our website that is required to be is tested.
We have provided all the certificates and data safety information on the materials we use in our downloads tab, so please feel free to use those to aid you if you are planning to test your finished products to resell as toys or items with play value.
If you buy our products to sell on, you will need to obtain your own testing for them once painted and sealed.
We recommend MDF sealers like Toy safe Rustoleum Clear seal and Chestnut Spray (Which we sell)

Why not join our Facebook group page where you chat to many of our customers that know far more than we do with regards to child proofing, UKCA testing and more.
The group is called PERRYS CUSTOMER CREATIONS.

What is MDF? :
Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure.
All information on the MDF we use and paints we sell is in the resources and download section of the website.

We use top grade Moisture Resistant MDF, which is dense and incredibly smooth at the edges for painting. Please note that MDF is not pure wood, so cannot be soaked in water
It has a green core, and is an excellent quality MDF
Please visit our resources and download section for full information and handy PDF's
We use Laser grade thinner MDF for our laser cut items, which is lower in resin and formaldehyde
I'm a School, Can I buy now, pay later and can I order via email or phone? :
No, unfortunately this is not a service we provide.
All orders do need to be placed via the website only, to ensure no misunderstandings for sizes, thicknesses, quantities and wrong products are made. (as many of our items are similar)
We have to cut all our items to order, and due to them all being cut, and hand sanded, we cannot send these items without first being paid for.
Please place your order, and if you need a VAT invoice, please mention this in the comments box when you checkout and I will put on in your parcel, or email it to you if you need it straight away.
If you do not have a payment card, please simply select Offline payment during checkout and we will send you an invoice with our Bank Details to make a BACs payment - The turnaround time estimated on the homepage only applies from when the payment has cleared.

Can I collect my order? :
Yes of course. We have disabled the collection option in the checkout due to often being misused, so we do now kindly ask you to order as normal, paying the postage required when you checkout. But in the NOTES TO SELLER please inform us that you wish to collect and I will email you with our collection address and times and an estimated collection date (A precise one will be emailed when it's ready for collection) Then once you have collected your order, we will refund the postage in full back to your original payment method
