It's easy to put the sand back in by rolling a piece of paper into a cone shape to make a funnel

The sand is dry, and free flowing.
Please note there may be an exception with the traditional sand and the pure white as this does arrive with us slightly damp, but will dry really quickly once in use, and easy to replace back into the bottle once dry (Please see the side by side photo of the traditional sand. This was placed into a tray damp and was dry and free flowing within an hour) 

The colours are pastel/muted shades as you can hopefully see from the photos. 
Shades may differ slightly depending on the device settings you are using, and lighting when taking the photos
